Hats for the Kids!

Here are a couple more projects from the lovely Hattitude book I bought a couple weeks ago. I also made them matching arm-warmers. Oh! Quiz! Which one has which favorite color? Can you guess?

Everything is made with Malabrigo Worsted. It's so soft and the kids loved the color choices!

Also, I recently sent a fan message to Cathy Carron (author of Hattitude) and she wrote back! Ask anybody who sees me on a day-to-day basis and they'll confirm it's all I talk about. Not really, but I've definitely mentioned it to everybody in passing.

  1. Haha, I have learned (via working at a yarn shop with two fancy famous designers- Star Athena and Sivia Harding) that most knitting designers are really pretty nice people. I suspect it's because knitting famous doesn't equal real famous so people don't get a big head about it :-P That's a cute book, my coworker and I had a good time analyzing just how "coy" or "thoughtful" particular hats were.

  2. What about the Literary one! It looks like a cheeto! But in any other color it would be quite cozy and adorable.

  3. I love this book and also "Hip Hop Hats" which is the 1st book I bought when I started knitting and have used many times over to get some ideas on hats. I've knitted hats for just about every member in the family. The girls love the "felted hat called Lauren", I've knitted up 4 of them.
